不规则复数与单复同形
少数词不按规则走，只能一个一个单独记。
man→men child→children foot→feet sheep→sheep
要点
- 改变元音：man→men，woman→women，foot→feet，tooth→teeth。
- 同一批变元音的还有 goose → geese、mouse → mice。
- 词尾加 -(r)en：child → children。
- 单复同形：sheep、deer、fish、Chinese、Japanese。
- 「某国人」变复数分三种：Chinese / Japanese 不变；Englishman → Englishmen、Frenchman → Frenchmen；其余加 -s（Germans、Americans、Canadians、Australians）。
- people 本身表示复数「人们」，不能再加 -s。
- 高频错写：childes ×、two sheeps ×、three deers ×、many peoples（表「人们」时）×。

易错提示
- people 作「民族」讲时才有复数 peoples，平时一律 people。
- fish 指「鱼肉」时不可数；指「几条鱼」时单复同形。
- 两个例外别混：a fish 的复数还是 fish，但两种以上的鱼可以用 fishes（两种鱼 = two fishes）。
- species、aircraft 也是单复同形：one species、many species，永远不加 -s。
