专有名词
特定的人、地方、节日等的名字，首字母永远大写。
人名 / 地名 / 国名 / 节日 / 星期月份 大写；the + 含普通名词的专有名词
要点
- 人名、地名、国名首字母大写：Tom，Beijing，China；中国人的姓和名分开各首字母大写：Yuan Longping。
- 星期、月份、节日大写，且一般不加冠词：Monday，May，National Day，Christmas。
- 由「普通名词 + 其他词」构成的专有名词要加 the：the Great Wall，the People's Park，the United States。
- 国名 → 国籍形容词：China → Chinese，America → American，England → English，Japan → Japanese（首字母永远大写）。
- 人名前一般不加冠词、不用复数；但「叫……的人」可加 a：A Mr. Wang called you.（一位姓王的先生找你）
- 头衔直接放在人名前时大写、不加 the：President Lincoln、Doctor King；单独当普通名词用时小写并加 the：The president gave a speech.
- 语言名、国籍名、书名里的实词都要大写：English、Chinese、the book Journey to the West。
- 季节、一日中的时段一般小写（spring、morning），除非在专有名词里：Spring Festival。

易错提示
- 含普通名词的专有名词要加 the：the Summer Palace；但街名、公园名常不加：Nanjing Road，Beihai Park。
- 中文姓名拼音连写、各部分首字母大写：Li Lei，Han Meimei。
- 月份缩写后面带点：Jan.、Feb.、Dec.；星期缩写同样：Mon.、Fri.。
- 同一串字母换大小写就换词：China 中国 / china 瓷器，May 五月 / may 可以。
