It is … that …
用 It is/was … that …
It is Tom who/that broke the window.
- 强调时间地点时仍然用 that,不用 when / where。
- 老要点第一条说 It is … that 不能强调谓语 —— 真要强调谓语就借 do / does / did:She did tell me the truth.(她确实告诉过我)
It was not until midnight that he came back.
It was with his teacher's help that he worked it out. It was his teacher's help that…
It is Tom who broke the window.
It was yesterday that I met him.
It is English that I like best.
It was in the park that we met.
It was only after the film ended that we got the news.
He did finish the report, though nobody believed him.
- 判据:把 It is/was 与 that 去掉,句子还成立就是强调句。
- 强调时间地点仍然用 that,不要换成 when / where。
- do 那一套强调只用在一般式的现在或过去:说 did tell,进行与完成时里不叠 do(不说 does be telling / did have finished)。
- 回答问句时能把问里的信息整块搬进框:— When did he leave? — It was after lunch that he left.
