基数词与序数词
数量用基数，顺序用序数，序数前面通常加 the。
基数：one, two, three 序数：the first, the second
要点
- 基数词表示数量：one、two、three。
- 序数词表示顺序：first、second、third，前面通常加 the。
- 序数词缩写：1st、2nd、3rd、4th。
- 日期、楼层、名次都用序数词。
- 英式在 hundred 后补 and（three hundred and five），美式常省掉，卷面两种都收；但 thousand 与 hundred 之间不插 and：2,341 读 two thousand, three hundred and forty-one。
- 十位与个位之间要加连字符：twenty-one、thirty-five —— 连字符只管 21 到 99 这一段，hundred、thousand 前后都不加。
- 报编号、页码、房间号用基数且前面不带 the：Page Five、Room 101、Lesson Twelve、Act Two；只有说顺序才回到序数（the fifth page）。
例句
January is the first month.
一月是第一个月。
It is on the second floor.
它在二楼。
Get off at the third stop and walk back.
第三站下车，再走回来。

易错提示
- 序数词前一般加 the，但前面有物主代词时不加：my first day。
- five→fifth、nine→ninth、twelve→twelfth 拼写要单独记。
- 整十变序数把 y 换成 ie 再加 th：twenty→twentieth、forty→fortieth；forty 这个词本身没有 u（four→forty），拼写最容易多写一笔。
