Sorry to ring so late. The heating stopped again this morning and the flat is getting cold.

That sounds like the pump rather than the switch, which is not a small repair.

That is what I am afraid of. So I want to ask for two things: a firm date, and some reduction in the rent for the days we had no heat.

I cannot promise a date today, but I will get a written estimate by Friday.
